The parents of this vibrantly stripy grass find their native home on the lush slopes of Tahiti, Bora Bora, New Zealand and Hawaii, where they usually grow green among the native forest trees.

Their jazzy offspring carves its own path with colourful leaves that transform from gold-lime to rust-red along the margins. It likes a moist soil, especially in sunnier locations.

Goodonya Belinda - a great find!
