Tea Time™ hydrangeas have all the blousy beauty of their big sisters, in a neat size perfect for pots and patios. Tivoli can magically change colour, depending on the pH of the soil you plant it in; and whatever the main flower colour, each individual petal has a neat white edge around, for a really pretty contrast. Plant them out in the garden, and they'll grow to hedging-height shrubs.

Hydrangea macrophylla'Tea Time™ Tivoli'

APPEARANCE :  Large-leaved deciduous shrub with large rounded flower heads and soft light green leaves. Flowers are purple-blue if grown in acidic soil and pinky-red in alkaline soil; each petal has a white edge around it, contrasting with the main colour.
PLANTING: Ideal for cottage gardens, woodland style gardens, mixed beds, large containers.
LOCATION: Hydrangeas prefer a partly shaded position in the garden, rich soil, and plenty of water during dry periods. Very cold hardy.
CARE: Water regularly during the first 8-12 weeks until the plant is established and regularly after that - hydrangeas are thirsty. Apply a slow release fertiliser early spring as leaves emerge. Protect from harsh sunlight. Macrophyllas flower on old wood so site them carefully to give them space to grow. Prune them in early autumn by deadheading spent flowers back to a leaf joint.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 1.5m H x 1.5m W in garden sites.
YOUR PLANTS:  These are tubestock plants with a healthy young root system and will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80 mm x 42 mm wide. Your plants may be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on. You can see an example in the image gallery.
