Hydrangea macrophylla 'Alpenglühen' aka 'Alpen Glow'

APPEARANCE:  Large leaved deciduous shrub with large flower heads and soft light green leaves. Shade of pink may vary according to cultivation conditions - more red in alkaline soil, more purple in acid - but usually vibrant.
USE FOR : Ideal for cottage gardens, woodland style gardens, and containers.
CLIMATE : Frost hardy
PLANTING : Hydrangeas prefer a partly shaded to shaded position in the garden, rich soil, and plenty of water during dry periods.
CARE: Water regularly during the first 8-12 weeks until the plant is established. Apply a slow release fertiliser early spring. Protect from harsh sunlight. Macrophyllas flower on old wood so site them carefully to give them space to grow. Prune them by deadheading spent flowers back to a leaf joint.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 1.2m H x 1.2m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
