Taller branching mounds of silvery fragrant foliage topped by two-colour flowers in dark plum and pink-purple. Italian lavenders have the long decorative "ear tufts" and large flowerheads for showy displays. This one bushy and branching, perfect for planting in the borders.

Description

Lavandula stoechas 'Silver Lining Passion' - Italian lavender

APPEARANCE : Fragrant shrub, woody at the base, with narrow grey-green foliage and deep plum-purple flowers with long purple tufts in spring-summer, and through the year in warmer climates. Strong upright branching habit.
USE FOR : Perfect for cottage gardens and hedging. Suited to rockeries and pots. Right at home in cool dry climates. Cut flowers may be dried and used in flower arrangements or potpourri.
CLIMATE : Heat, humidity, drought, and cold tolerant.
PLANTING : Plant in full sun and free-draining soil. Avoid wet feet. Will tolerate lower light levels but flowering will be affected.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly for the first 12 weeks until the plant establishes. Prune twice yearly (taking care to remove only 1/3 of the foliage while avoiding cutting into old wood) and fertilise yearly using a slow release fertiliser after flowering maintain compact growth.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH : 70cm H x 70cm W
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
