Attractive easy-going native gum, silver-grey year-round, in a versatile medium size for larger gardens and acreage. Doesn't mind a hard prune to keep it small and maintain the silvery young leaves beloved of florists.

APPEARANCE : Medium-small native east coast gum with silver-grey foliage which is oval when young, longer when mature. Variable in its mature outline but responds well to pruning to create a neat silhouette.
USE FOR: Feature tree; hedging if coppiced (hard pruned) regularly; flower arranging. Strong silver leaf colour.
CLIMATE : Will survive frost when mature
PLANTING: Very adaptable as to climate and conditions, prefers sun over shade. Will survive temporary waterlogging.
CARE: Stake and protect from strong wind and frost until the plant is established. Apply mulch and continue to water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks and regularly during extended dry periods.
HEIGHT:  15m H unpruned; coppices well
