This fast-growing native gum is drought tolerant and seems to grow in almost any soil from clay to sand, rocky to creekside, wet and even salty soils. 

Cream-white-yellow flowers from a very young age; lime green gumnuts like tiny bells; and the bark is striking, changing from dark grey at the trunk to smooth white on upper branches.

APPEARANCE :A West Coast fast-growing native gumtree with a long skinny trunk and flattish rounded head. Large fluffy white blossoms appear through spring; and trees often flower at only a year old. The bark is dark grey at the trunk and white on the branches
ORIGIN : Found in the wild in the south west corner of WA, and has proved very adaptable in gardens across Australia.
USE FOR :  Ornamental garden tree, wildlife gardens, fast shade.
CLIMATE : As a WA species it prefers mild Mediterranean-climate areas of Australia with abundant sunshine, lower humidity, drier summers. Protect from strong wind and frost.
PLANTING :  Grows in most free-draining soil types. Found in the wild alongside lakes and rivers, in rocky regions, growing in clay and sandy soils, and on salty heavy soils - so try it out in your garden!
CARE : Apply mulch and continue to water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks and regularly during extended dry periods.
HEIGHT :  10-20m H x 8-10m W
