This tongue-twisting houseplant genus is well known from Sri Lanka to Borneo and Malaysia, but almost unknown elsewhere until very recently. They are elegant foliage plants for indoors or tropical gardens, with glossy heart-shaped leaves reminiscent of their cousins the Alocasia, Philodendron and Syngonium.

Emerald Gem has deep green glossy leaves, very handsome for indoor display. Homalomenas love shade, humidity, a little misting now and again to keep looking their best.

We love Homalomena Emerald Gem for the glossy leaves, the compact size, and because it's fun to say the name
