APPEARANCE: Cute native groundcover with a compact habit and the brightest blue flowers in spring. Native to WA but happy in any well-drained sheltered location in most of Australia.
USES: Groundcover, mass planting, and rockery planting. Needs good drainage. Suited to container planting in locations where the garden soil isn't free draining.
PLANTING: Plant in free draining soil in a partly shaded location, dappled sunlight is perfect. Mulch after planting to retain moisture and regulate soil temperatures as the young plant establishes. Tolerates frost and drought once established.
CARE: An application of a native slow release fertiliser in spring will help keep the plant healthy.
