Yes  that is the real flower colour!. The curly flowers may not be as showy, or as abundant, as other grevilleas but when they're this PURPLE who cares?!

The purple comes in many shades from the colour of blueberries stirred in cream, to that neon lipstick you wore as a teen. You know you love it - and with this grafted plant you'll be able to grow it successfully too.

Note : Our Purple Haze are grafted grevilleas, unlike most of our other varieties. Grafting joins the main plant to another, more robust or adaptable, rootstock. This means it will grow in a wider range of soil types. Read more here

Grevillea plurijuga 'Purple Haze'

APPEARANCE : The parent species is a low dense mounding shrub with fine leaves and pink flowers. Its child has long feathery leaves, blue-green when mature and bronze when young; and showy purple and pink bicolour flowers. Bred by Richard Tomkin of Changers Green nursery.
ORIGIN :Grevillea plurijuga originates in the south-west tip of WA, where it grows in a range of bushlands and open heath.
USE FOR :  Feature planting, wildlife gardens, coastal gardens, native gardens, making the neighbours jealous.
CLIMATE: Tolerates drought and frost once established.
PLANTING: Plant in full sun for maximum flowering. Prefers free draining soil. Note : Bush Lemons is a grafted grevillea, unlike our other varieties. This means it will grow in a wider range of soil types. The tape securing the graft point is biodegradable and should dissolve by the time the graft is complete.
CARE: Water regularly during the first 8-12 weeks until the plant is established. Prune after flowering to promote flowering, dense habit and control growth. A hard prune each 3-4 years will result in a fresh flush of flowers and foliage.  Feed with a slow release native fertiliser when buds form - grevilleas can be phosphorus-sensitive so the P ratio of the fertiliser needs to be under 3%.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 1m H x 2m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
