DESCRIPTION: Large spreading tree featuring lacy fern-like foliage (watch these closely at sunset to see the tiny leaves fold toward the stem), flame-red flowers spring and summer and smoothly textured bark. Produces large flat seed pods, may be decidious in hot-dry climates. USE IN: Large gardens as a feature and shade tree. Flowers appear when plants reach maturity, usually around 10 years, but well worth the wait! LOCATION: Full sun to part shade. Suits most soil types. A tropical tree preferring warm, moist climates. CARE: Mulch and water well for up to 12 weeks or until the plant is established. Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring for maximum flowering and new growth. Prune any low branches to above head height. HEIGHT & WIDTH: 10-15m H x 10m W.
